What better way to explore some of Europe's most beautiful countries than by train? Here are some wonderful rail adventure itineraries we've put together, so all you have to do is hop on the train and enjoy the sights!

Rome, Zakynthos, and Ancient Greece

This is an 11-night rail adventure like no other, as you travel by rail and sea from between the ancient capital of the Roman Empire to the ancient land of Greece! Following 2 nights in the Italian capital, head to the Adriatic and an overnight ferry cruise to Patras, where you will be met and taken by car and ferry to the enchanting island of Zakynthos. From here, return to the Peloponnese peninsula for 2 nights in ancient Olympia, then onto Athens for 2 full days of sightseeing.

The Best of Italy, the Amalfi Coast, and Sicily

The best way to cross the highlights of Italy off your bucket list is by train! On this two-week vacation, discover the captivating history, culture, cuisine and beauty of Venice, Florence, Rome, Sorrento and Sicily. Ride a gondola through the canals of Venice, explore the rolling hills of Tuscany, and travel back in time through the ancient landmarks of Rome. Experience the Amalfi Coast with a private driver and guide through the ruins of Pompeii, and soak in the sunlight on the coast of Sorrento and the island of Capri. Travel south to Sicily, exploring a local market in Taormina and the impressive Mount Etna. Italy is known for its stunning sights and this vacation has it all.

The Glacier Express

Switzerland may very well be the most beautiful country in all of Europe—if not the world. There’s just something about the way this country draws you in with its majestic beauty, charming cities and villages, and untouched wilderness. On this five-day rail holiday, you’ll surely be enchanted by what you both see and experience. Your trip begins with one night in Zurich before traveling to the peaceful lakeside
retreat of St Moritz. The following day, board the Glacier Express to St Moritz. Along the way, the train will cross over 291 bridges, go through 91 tunnels, wind through the Swiss Alps, and traverse the countryside. Spend a final night in Geneva before
continuing with your travels.
